One of the most profound efficiencies that has been realized in digital photogrammetry is aerial triangulation. This process has replaced every aspect of traditional analog or analytical photogrammetric procedures, and is the base that all downstream procedures rely upon. This makes aerial triangulation one of the most critical components of a mapping project.
Singe going fully digital in 1996, IMT has completed over 1,500 digital aerial triangulation projects that total over 525,000 images. Projects have ranged from 1 to 2 models to over 8,000 images.
Our extensive project history has given us the knowledge to design the optimal balance for establishing ground control in the correct locations. All our projects are custom designed to provide the optimal balance between airborne GPS, ground control, required accuracies and budget constraints.
IMT is able to provide better than first order accuracy given control values of the same order by using the ISM DiAP ATM system, which is fully integrated with K2 Photogrammetry's PAT-B Bundle adjustment program. By interfacing output parameter files directly with both our DiAP workstations and Ortho-rectification sofware, we also provide seamless integration between work phases, thereby eliminating any source of manual input error.
