IMT utilizes a Vexcel UltraScan 5000 photogrammetric scanner. The scanner has been reviewed by an international industry journal noting that tests “have confirmed a good to excellent performance regarding the geometric accuracy and resolution, radiometric performance (noise, dynamic range) and color rendition.”¹

Our scanner has a base resolution of 5 microns (5080 dpi) and a geometric accuracy of less than 3 microns. The most requested resolutions are:

• 10 microns = 2540 dpi
• 15 microns = 1905 dpi
• 20 microns = 1270 dpi

Mediums for scanning are: 

• Cut diapositives;
• Negatives - cut or roll (maximum size 230 x 230 mm or 9" x 9");
• Contact prints

Image types include:

• Color;
• Black and white or
• Infra-red

All images can be output to various media that include CD-ROM, DVD, USB2 hard drive and FTP.

We support many file types such as TIFF, SIS, SJS, Mr. Sid and JPEG.
