ABOUT US

OUR PEOPLE

Our staff complement includes geomatics professionals, photogrammetrists, cartographers, geographers and land use mapping technologists. We bring together experience from across Canada, Latin America, Asia, and Europe.

Our senior staff:

Mr. Ian Grady - President
As IMT’s President, Ian Grady has been involved in surveying and mapping since 1984.  After several seasons as a mine surveyor for various gold exploration ventures, Ian "saw the light" and turned his focus above ground, mapping the surface of the earth rather than what lies beneath.

After close to five years in the mapping industry, Ian joined IMT six months after its incorporation as a photogrammetrist. Through his natural leadership skills and willingness to accept personnel responsibility, Ian soon took over the roles of Production Manager, General Manager, and Vice President. In 2002, he became President of IMT. During his tenure, Ian oversaw the company's dominance of the Province of British Columbia’s TRIM and TRIM II projects.

Ian has an extensive background in softcopy photogrammetry and is very skilled in project and corporate management. He accepts accountability in all aspects of his career and works to ensure IMT's client requirements are met without compromise to both him and to IMT"s reputation of honesty and integrity.

Mr. Richard Marty - Vice President
Richard Marty joined IMT in 1997 after over six years of Civil and Land Use digital mapping gaining experience in Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical applications.  During this time Richard also formed his own company and became a certified contractor to the Ministry of Forests in digital map production.

Promoted to Vice President and elected to the Board of Directors in 2001, Richard is responsible for operations and budgeting/cash flow, including invoicing, shipping and receiving.

Ms. Chantal Gaumond - Quality Assurance
Having graduated from CEGEP de Limoilou in 1990, Chantal is well experienced in aerial triangulation (using both conventional and digital softcopy techniques), and large and small scale mapping projects, with an emphasis in the revision and updating of existing base mapping projects.

Chantal is responsible for overall production techniques employed by IMT, as well as ensuring the quality of IMT’s products meet or exceed client specifications.

Mr. Richard Bach - Digital Imaging/IT
Richard Bach joined IMT in 1998 after graduating from SAIT’s (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) Survey and Mapping Technology program.

Beginning his career as a photogrammetric technician, Richard quickly found his natural abilities were in analyzing the imagery to visualize the final mosaic from individual raw scans.  Building on these skills, Richard took charge of IMT’s scanning services and digital orthophoto production.

Having a keen interest in the latest and greatest in technology, Richard also proved himself in this area and is now IMT’s go-to-guy for IT. Richard is responsible for overseeing project setup, quality assurance of source materials and training/supervision of scanning and orthophoto personnel, as well as maintaining and upgrading IMT’s computer and network systems as required.
