HISTORY
IMT emerged onto the mapping scene in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1991. We immediately broke the current monopoly of the Provincial Terrain Resource Information Management (TRIM) Program and, by charging a fair price for the work, IMT caused a substantial reduction in the pricing structure. IMT also produced the first map sheet to be accepted under the original TRIM Program, compiled in a wholly digital (softcopy) environment.
In 1995, 10 years after the original TRIM program began, IMT was awarded the TRIM contract that would see the final sheet compiled and delivered. In March of 1996, IMT delivered this final sheet to the Province, thereby completing the most comprehensive and ambitious mapping project of its time.
IMT has the project management experience and expertise to successfully complete any photogrammetric mapping project, from initial project planning and consultation to the execution and final delivery of digital or hardcopy map products.
Since 1996, IMT has exclusively used softcopy photogrammetric technology and is well recognized for providing the following services:
- High precision scanning;
- Digital aerial triangulation;
- Orthophoto production;
- Digital mapping and
- The capture and revision of spatial data
